How We Met
I had moved from NY to TX in 2018 and was ready to start a new life, I made my friends and started a great career marketing and working in the fashion industry, I never thought I’d find love so soon.
John and I met very unexpectedly at a bar in New Braunfels, I was coming from my cousin’s wedding and I just wanted to continue having a great night of celebration. John had walked past me and he just caught my eye immediately. One of them goes from the wedding gave him my number and we spent the night getting to know each other. It really was love at first sight. We have spent every waking moment with each other.
How They Asked
The night he proposed he wanted to do it in Austin and the Trail of Lights but it was super packed and we probably would have gotten run over by strollers.
We went to downtown New Braunfels and stuffed our faces with pizza, my favorite. After that we went to walk around and look at the lights, John told me he wanted to take pictures. I started dancing around and when I turned around, there he was. The biggest smile I had ever seen on his face. On one knee, I was in disbelief. I said yes, of course. It was such an amazing night. It was magical.
