How We Met
We met at Wagner College in 2011. We lived on the same floor our freshman year and became friends instantly. Throughout our college years, we were inseparable, from joining Greek life together to eating meals together every day. At the end of our junior year, we gave the whole dating thing a try, and have been together ever since! We are complete opposites, he balances out my crazy, I help him take risks. He knows me better than anyone and I’m so thankful God brought him into my life!
How They Asked
COVID didn’t stop Dan from proposing and making it one of the best days of my life!! We made dinner plans at one of my favorite restaurants in Sea Bright. Since we arrived early, Dan asked if I wanted to walk on the beach. On our way off the beach, my favorite photographer (Anthony McMahon) popped out of nowhere and started to take photos of us. I turned around and Dan was on one knee.
After dating for 6 years, OF COURSE, I SAID YES!! As soon as I said yes, Anthony took us to Sandy Hook to do a surprise engagement photo shoot. Following that, Dan drove me to my parents’ house where my family, his family, and one of my best friends were waiting for us in the backyard to have a “socially distant” champagne toast and some cake. Even though I couldn’t have everyone I wanted there that night due to COVID, I am just over the moon that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!
