How We Met
We have known each other since Middle School. However, we did not start dating until I was 23 and Cody had just turned 24. It all started one night when we were both out with friends at one of our favorite country bars, Southern Junction. We danced throughout the night and that quickly became one of our favorite things to do together. From there we started spending a lot of time together and the rest is history.

On May 9th, 2015 we were at the first ever Beach Blast at Juana’s on Navarre Beach. Cody’s band was the first act at noon. Later in the day our good friend Steve Hall was playing and Cody told me he wanted to go up on stage during Steve’s set to promote some of his new band merchandise that had just come in. We had a lot of family in town for the show and so they all came down to the main stage and Cody and I went up to do what I thought was a merchandise push. After very badly throwing stuff into the audience Cody continued to thank a few people and then said he had one more special thing to do.
He said he had met the love of his life and that is when I realized what was happening. He called me over and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I cried for what felt like a solid hour as we walked off stage and hugged all of our family and friends that witnessed the moment. It was the most perfect moment!
