Megan and Daniel

how we met

To start at the beginning of our story, we need to explain how Megan’s dad was on staff at First Baptist Waxahachie from the time she was 6 months to age 3. It was during that time in Waxahachie our parents spent time in Sunday School together. Daniel and Megan were together as babies and didn’t even know it!Once Megan’s family had moved back to the DFW area, her dad found himself visiting Waxahachie again reconnecting with an old friend over lunch. Daniel and His dad walked in and ended up joining them. After catching up on years gone by updates like “I have a daughter living in Dallas and who works in Waxahachie” spurred on Daniel to contact Megan. Shortly after, we had our first date in Waxahachie at White Rhino Coffee shop which then turned into dinner and the rest was history….!

how they asked

The day we got engaged (August 25th, 2019) was the best so far – until our wedding day of course! Back in August of 2019 Daniel had convinced Megan he hadn’t asked her dad yet so engagement was not her radar. (Little did she know he had asked and was planning a surprise engagement with her co-workers, family and friends!) They all did a fantastic job of keeping the best secret because Megan worked just like any other Sunday. Afterwards she was told they were going to a birthday party. On the car ride over to Daniel’s parents Daniel said “I have asked your dad!…” and to Megan’s surprise they pulled in the driveway where all their friends and family were there to greet them! It was a such a sweet time with everyone!
