how we met
Josh is a champion Australian bodybuilder and was competing at a local competition that a friend was also competing at. As soon as I saw him I asked who he was then sent him a Facebook friend request. Before long we were chatting morning and night until we worked up the courage and eventually went on our first date!
Our relationship first started as we shared our love for training and also a really good cheat meal. I loved the way we could make each other laugh but the more we got to know each we realized that we both had similar morals in life and I fell in love with Josh’s gentle, kind heart.
how they asked
Originally Josh had planned for us to go on a 3 week winter road trip to visit family and friends in Australia. I was all packed and ready to go when I came home from work one evening only to be blindfolded and surprised by all of our family dressed in Hawaiian shirts and the house decorated. Josh showed me the full 3 week itinerary and told me we were leaving to Hawaii the next night! I couldn’t believe that Josh had planned all of this, and that all of our family, friends and work colleagues knew for months! We flew into Kauai first which we had visited 3 years earlier. We fell in love with Kauai and knew we had to return! After a few amazing days, Josh organised a dinner at St Regis Princeville but before that we went for a sunset walk along the beach at Hanalei Bay. This is where he bent down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
It was absolutely magical as we took in the surrounding beach and mountains and a group of local Hawaiians cheering for us as I said yes!Out of nowhere surprise Engagement photographer Harneet Bajwa started snapping photos of us and we captured the most incredible images of our sunset engagement before whisking off to a delicious dinner and a few champagnes to celebrate!
