How We Met
Billy and I met through mutual friends. We didn’t actually meet in person until I interviewed at Wegmans where Billy worked too. We worked together for numerous years. Ironically, our grandfathers knew eachother, as well as our dads. We were the third generation to ironically meet!
How They Asked
Billy proposed in Venice, Italy on a gondola. We have been to Venice Italy prior and it was a special place for us. As we were on the gondola, a huge poster fell down over a bridge which showed a photo of us with the words, “Dani, I love you, will you marry me?” Billy then went down on one knee, professed his love, and asked me to marry him. As we went under the bridge, rose petals fell into the water. Then a professional photographer hopped on the gondola and took photos of us all around Venice, Italy. It was a dream! We celebrated on the balcony of the hotel we stayed at two years prior with champagne, calling our closest friends and family.
