How We Met
Paul and I met for the first time in February 2013 in a classroom full of Kindergarteners. I got the job at a before and after school program in Roseville and I was so ecstatic to start working with kids as it was my dream job. On my first day on the job, I walked up to a table not knowing Paul was sitting there as I introduced myself to the students. I saw Paul look at me with those green Gaudio eyes and I quickly turned around and told myself, “I am in big trouble!” Right away I clearly new this guy is going to give me a hard time or one day be the love of my life. As I was making my way around the classroom introducing myself to the students, Paul approached me and reached out his hand and said, “Hello I”m Paul!” I quickly shook his hand and told him my name. I gave him a big smile and we stared at each other for a couple of seconds and we quickly realized we are in a classroom full of kids. For six years Paul and I still talk about the first time we met and how we can never forget the feeling of meeting each other. Paul felt so confident he had to introduce himself to me and I felt the spark in his eyes that I did not know at that time was our love for each other.
How They Asked
The day before Paul and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Paul surprised me to a trip to South Lake Tahoe the next day to celebrate. As we were driving from Sacramento with a beautiful view of trees, we started to see snow! The snow was so beautiful I cried because I felt like I just entered winter wonderland! We were on our way to lunch when Paul was getting so nervous as he wanted to propose already but could not find the right location!
As we were looking for a place to eat, we ran into a beautiful beach with snow on top of the sand and a beautiful view of the mountains at Lakeside Beach. We pulled over brought our camera and sure enough, he proposed while catching it all on video!
Paul grabbed both my hands, went on one knee and asked me to marry him!! I said YES! We never smiled so hard as Paul said that was so easy to ask you. Why haven’t I done it sooner! We jumped with joy we yelled out were engaged and everyone around us cheered with joy! We are getting married!
