How We Met
When I moved to San Diego, California back in 2017, my very first job was at the Cat Cafe in downtown SD as a barista and cat wrangler. It’s a cute cafe that also adopts out adorable kitties! Logan came in with his mom and little sister in 2018 a couple of weeks after he moved to SD from Boston. I was instantly smitten, but it was when my FAVORITE grumpy cat went right up to him and hopped onto his lap that I knew I had to know this man.
He was so sweet with his family and the cats, I jokingly told my boss and coworkers “Oh I’m going to marry that guy, he’s totally my future husband”. Little did I know, Logan texted his roommate the very same day “Just met my wife and a cat”. I did not stop thinking about him after that day and told myself from then on, he is the standard. No more dumb dates where I didn’t feel it instantly. He came back a week later, I put my number on his coffee cup, and the rest is history!
How They Asked
This year for Logan’s birthday, we decided to go camping in Sequoia National Forest to hike and stargaze under the giant sequoias. We were off the grid and had the most beautiful private grounds for our camp. We went on a little hike around our temporary home, and let our puppy off-leash to romp around. I was calling her to run back to me, but she ran right past me to Logan. When I turned around, he was on one knee! Ugly crying is an understatement. I was in my favorite place with my best friend and my pup. I could not ask for anything better.
