How We Met
I met Allen in Summer 2010. Allen was a student at CU-Boulder and a Reservist with the U.S. Navy. I had just returned from Tianjin, China after completing her MBA from Oklahoma City University. I had mutual friends with Allen and we were all getting together for pre-movie gathering at Dave & Busters and a movie following after. It was my first time meeting him. The conversation flowed and I felt so at ease with him. Afterwards, I connected through good old Facebook with him afterwards. Facebook messages continued to be sent back and forth. I felt so connected to him. One day, Allen needed a hair cut and asked me to hang out. I sat through Allen’s haircut at Modern Cuts and the day continued to Lollicup boba shop across the street. Here, we continued to chit chat for over 3 hours afterwards! Now even after that day, time goes by so fast. Now it’s been over 8 years since that first meeting!
How They Asked
My boyfriend Allen had purchased Bruno Mars tickets in a year in advance. During the year leading up to the day of the concert Allen planned the whole engagement. I had no idea that he was going to propose to me that day. Allen found the most perfect ring and did his research of the production to find the most perfect moment to pop the question. The day of the concert comes. The show is going great and so hyped. I didn’t think much of the day. So now Bruno Mars starts to sing the song “Marry You” and then Allen asks to take a picture. I then went to ask a random stranger to take the picture and Allen followed to get on one knee to propose. I said “Yes!” Now I get to plan our wedding together with him. I can’t wait to marry him!
