Ciara and Spencer's Firefighter Proposal
how they asked: I received a phone call from a Lufkin firefighter’s wife telling me she would like to take some pictures of all of the wife’s/girlfriends of LFD for a project she was working on. I told her I would love to and we set up to meet at the old downtown station to take some pictures. That morning I got ready and headed over to the station to take pictures with another fire wife. After 10 pictures, I heard the station’s fire engine garage door open. The next thing I saw was the big red engine with a beautiful banner that said “Ciara, will you marry me?” and my boyfriend walking around the corner. He got on one knee, told me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I of course said YES!!!! After the shock settled I noticed the banner was being held by his closest fire brothers, who were so excited to be a part of our special day. Not only did we get great pictures of the proposal but the other fire wife who was taking pictures with me also got special video of it. Before and during the proposal they received 3 calls that they needed to respond to but his fire brothers from other stations came over the radio and said they were happy to take the calls so we could be together during this special time. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful fire family! After the proposal we took some engagement pictures with the engine and quickly called our family and friends. It was the BEST DAY EVER!
