How We Met
We were introduced by a mutual friend!
how they asked
Christina is a kindergarten teacher at a school in the Bronx, NY. I reached out to her work friends and let them know that I wanted to propose at the school since Christina thought I couldn’t surprise her. I decided to use the help of my sister and her sisters to make sure that the proposal went perfectly. Knowing Christina, I knew she would want a couple of things such as a surprise proposal and her family and friends to be a part of the big day.
After a few months of planning, it was finally June 8th. Christina and her students went on a trip, leaving my family and I with a few hours to set up. We filled the classroom with more than 130 balloons, flower petals, and a sign that she would later read. Once everything was set up, we waited for Christina to get back to the school.
Christina was met by the entrance of the school, where she was handed a letter from one of her students. As Christina read the letter, our amazing photographer was able to capture her sincere reaction.
As she finished the letter, the student took her by the hand and guided her to the next destination, in front of her classroom. There stood another student who held a chalkboard sign that read “Miss. Babu are you ready to be…”
Christina proceeded to open the door and found me standing in a room surrounded by flowers and balloons. As she looked up she saw giant helium balloons that spelled out “Mrs. E?” Then I got down on one knee and after an enthusiastic YES, we were surrounded by friends and family who helped us celebrate!
