How We Met
We met at our college orientation, my cousin actually introduced us because they went to high school together. We learned that we had a lot of mutual friends in common and thought it was weird we never met before. I was out with my friends one night and Joey was there with his friends we ended up hanging out the entire time and after that we started hanging out all the time. We talked on the phone for 8 hours straight one night then he asked me to go on an actual date just the 2 of us. On New Years Eve we went to a party with all our friends and as the ball dropped he asked me to be his girlfriend, and now almost 6 years later were engaged and even more inseparable than ever.

Joey’s brother Michael does photography as a hobby, and is always asking us for new places he can go for cool scenery shots. One day he texts me asking where he can go to get really nice photos of the leaves changing colors and overall nice scenery, the first thing that came to my mind; Old Westbury Gardens! (Joey and I love it there and have been going since we started going out). I had mentioned to Joey about a month before that we needed to go in the fall time because we always went in the spring and summer. That weekend we went to hangout while Michael went to take his photos. Little did I know he was sneakily taking photos of us the entire time! When we got to my favorite spot, I turn around to find Joey down on one knee with the most perfect ring and I instantly started crying, of course. Both of our families knew and were home waiting for us to celebrate. It was the most perfect day ever.
