How We Met

George and I met in college at UCSD. But it wasn’t until years later that they reconnected. Our connection was so strong because, against everything we told each other, we started a long-distance relationship for 2 years. Distance couldn’t separate us, we were inseparable. We started the ‘Right Beside You’ podcast together as a way to connect on a deeper level and discuss our journey of doing life right beside each other… even from a distance!

In May of this year, I was in a really bad accident and needed to have surgery. My now fiancé George never left my side and really stepped up to nurse me back to health. Finally, we moved closer together and after 3 years he took me up in a hot air balloon 🎈🔥 on his birthday week and got on one knee. If said, you know the only thing I want for my birthday is you… will you marry me? I said YES, of course!

How They Asked

We woke up at 3 am in the morning to catch a hot air balloon and rise up as the sun was rising… He said… you know what I want for my birthday… all I want is you. Will you marry me?
