How We Met
We first met at Lucky Strike. I went in awaiting my best friend of 26 years, Stephanie to get off her shift so that we could go out, and there he was…..with a glass full of whiskey for me. He then asked my friend Stephanie how to find me. She then told him where I work. Once he found out where I worked, he was determined to get me to agree to go out on a date with him, and the rest was history. Little did I know, five years later I would be his bride.
How They Asked
I used to do photography and I still freelance from time to time, so he told me that his boss needed some photos taken of some jobs they have done to update their website and “hired me.” Now my fiancé works in HV/AC and has done many jobs in Downtown Chicago including a new roof unit on the Aon Center. He got the building engineer to let us on to the rooftop of the Aon building. Jason brought me over to the new unit and I got in position to start photographing. I could hear Jason mumbling behind me, but being up on such a high rooftop, it was hard to hear him. When I turned around, he was down on one knee holding the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. Needless to say, I was not there to take photos, but instead to say yes to spending the rest of my life with my better half.
