How We Met
I matched with Adam on the hinge in October 2018. Our first date was October 30, 2018, after talking nonstop for just a few days. We went to Up and Up on Macdougal Street in the West Village and spent hours talking, eventually getting pizza around midnight to keep the date going. He texted me shortly after I got in the cab home and said I was “wonderful” and he hoped to do this again, we were together ever since.
How They Asked
Adam planned an early dinner for us to spend some time before attending a friend’s birthday. He suggested we go to this restaurant and walk outside along Gantry Plaza which I had been wanting to see. We took the ferry from Astoria to Long Island City and Adam held my hand as we walked along the water. He suggested we take some photos as the sun had just come out that day. He guided me to this corner of the platform to take photos. With my back to him looking at the city, he told me he got the photo and I turn around to see him already on one knee. With tears in both of our eyes, he said he had an early birthday gift for me. It was the best moment of my life.
