how we met

I met Heather over the summer while playing sand volleyball at a local place called Setter’s. We were introduced by mutual friends and I loved sharing laughs over her competitive nature. It didn’t take any time at all before we were dating and I knew immediately this relationship was different. There was something special about it and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

how they asked

After a couple years of dating, I planned a getaway birthday weekend for Heather in Asheville, NC which ended up being the best weekend of our lives to date. We had planned on going to Asheville for about two years and knew from prior conversations, planning a getaway wouldn’t be suspicious. I knew Heather loves pictures so hiring a photographer to perfectly capture the moment was a no-brainer. I hired a photographer named Will from Forge Mountain and prior to the weekend, we conversed and figured out exactly where I was to take Heather, where he was planning on standing and where I should propose. That Saturday, we walked through the Biltmore and afterwards all the way up the hill by a statue of the Roman Goddess Diana. With the Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background, I proposed!

Will was phenomenal photographer and really captured the moment; he blew my expectations out of the water. Indeed, Will captured the moment and many more timeless moments afterward as being a newly engaged couple, we took engagement photos afterwards for two hours around the 8,000 acre estate.
