How We Met

We originally met through mutual friends and decided to go on our first date together. Caleb took me to see Canberra’s yearly Floriade which I had never been to before as I’m originally from the UK! He then took me to see Canberra’s best-kept secrets, taking me for ice cream and showing me the best views of Canberra. The rest is history and we all love to go on adventures and explore Canberra together.

How They Asked

I like to start by saying Caleb is remarkable at surprises, for my birthdays and our anniversaries he always has the best and craziest ideas. I honestly don’t know how he comes up with things, one birthday he took me to Dubbo zoo for the night, and one of my birthdays he took me in a hot air balloon! On our 5 year anniversary, he drove me to Regal Point and surprised me with a beautiful picnic in front of the Captain James Cook Memorial Fountain and surrounding Canberra’s famous landmarks (With the help of Proposal Co of course).

Apparently, things were running ahead of schedule but Caleb still managed to keep calm and handed me a pair of binoculars. He said “Look at the plane and don’t turn around until you read the banner” “Chloe Anne, Will you marry me <3 Caleb :)” I couldn’t believe it. I turned around with Caleb down on one knee. I told him to hang on, I want to look at the plane again. Then I turned to Caleb once again while he was still down on one knee holding the exquisite ring and I said YES. A wonderful professional photographer and proposal planner appeared from nowhere to congratulate us. We then took our engagement photos and then went on to enjoy the amazing picnic and delicious food.
