How We Met
Rocky and I met at an old bar in Brisbane. I was 18 and he was 25. Of course i played hard to get and he had a good chase on his hands.
how they asked
Tuesday 25th August 2015, Rocky and I were exploring Waiheke Island, New Zealand.
This is where Rock was brought up for the first 8 years of his life. He showed me his old homes, school, footy club, and beaches where he use explore and just be a kid. I loved seeing his handsome smile while he reminisced and reenacted dozens of memories.
We went zip lining that morning also, which was SO much fun, and a huge adrenalin rush. Those who know us, know that we love the outdoors!
In the evening we spontaneously drove to Mudbrick Vineyard. We had a delicious appetiser and the most delicious glass of Pinot Grig. (Apparently this helped Rocky calm his nerves)
After our meal, we decided to explore the stunning landscape and views. The aroma of lavender filled the air. The scene of greenery and the ocean was just breath taking. As we reached the top of the hill, we embraced and shared a little kiss. Next thing I know, Rocky is down on one knee asking me to be his wife. I cried and cried and cried. Happy tears of course.
My answer was yes, and honestly I don’t think his proposal could have been any more perfect.
I feel like the luckiest girl alive. Thank you Rocky for being such an amazing, caring, loving, generous, helpful and amazing person. I love you forever and always
