How We Met
Caleb and I met in the fall of 2012. I was starting my junior year of college and had decided to start a Doctor Who fan club. He campaigned for treasurer (unopposed), even though I tried to tell him we didn’t need one. He was very outspoken, tactless, and, for lack of a better word, weird. I wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. So, of course, about two months later, he asked me to go with him to get a burrito. I did and we dated for about three months until I broke up with him at a ska show because we were just not right for each other. Fast forward to two and a half years later: I found Caleb on Facebook and messaged him. He came over and we talked for hours. He kept coming over for months and we kept going on adventures until I finally asked him to be in a relationship with me on November 1, 2015.
how they asked
Caleb and I had been talking about getting married for a while. I went with him to pick out a ring after he, very nervously, asked my dad for permission and spoke to his. On the first free Sunday his dad and lovely step-mom Kim could make it, we went to Biltmore, where he proposed to me in my second favorite part– the gardens.
