How We Met
I met Cole at Sheltering Arms hospital in Richmond, Va. I had been working as a rehabilitation tech in the inpatient side of the hospital and Cole worked out as a non-patient with a community health program. We first noticed each other at the hospital but had a more intimate conversation at a gala held but Sheltering Arms. Later that evening, Cole slid into my DM’s on Instagram and the rest is history!
How They Asked
For weeks, Cole and I had been practicing to sing a duet with a local musician. Little did I know, he had also been working on an original “proposal” song with the same musician. The night of our proposal, we performed our duet together and I rushed to sit down right after because I was quite nervous. Cole stayed at the microphone and asked me if I would like to hear the song he had written and of course I responded “YES!” After singing to me, Cole asked me to marry him. Since Cole is a quadriplegic and was unabe to get down on one knee, his mother got down on one knee for him and handed him the ring. He presented me the ring and I could hardly even respond, I couldn’t hold back my emotions! But of, I SAID YES!
