How We Met
Shay and I met in middle school and dates in 7th grade, we always stayed close friends and the Summer going into our senior year of high school we started dating. We’ve been together ever since.

Shay surprised me with a trip to New York for my Christmas gift to ring in the New Year. We spent three days in the city, our last night there was New Years Eve and we were eating at the Liberty House in New Jersey with the view of New York City. I’m a photographer myself so I really wanted a few pictures with the city behind us. So we watched the fireworks to ring in the new year and then we went back outside after a few minutes to take a few pictures. I set up my camera for Shays cousin to take a few photos of us with the skyline of NYC. Little did I know what was about to happen.. Next thing I know his cousin says whats that, I look, theres nothing so I turn around and there he was.
After eight years, he was down on one knee and asked me to be Mrs. Hansen/his future wife. Shay planned the most perfect proposal. He had some help from his cousin Brandon and his beautiful wife Auhnna.
