How We Met
Kyle and I met in 2016, in Kenya. I was serving as a missionary in Kibera for the summer and Kyle was on the last group of mission teams to serve the same summer. We became good friends in Kenya and once we got back to the states, he asked me out!
How They Asked
Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 was perfect. Kyle took me to one of our favorite coffee spots, Vice and Virtue (@vicevirturecoffee.) [Kyle has been traveling most weekends and I work all week–so coffee dates have become our special way to spend quality time during our busy schedules.] Then we walked around downtown Memphis (South Main to be exact) and over to Vance Park, where he wasted no time in asking me to be his wife! I said YES! Then I turned around to see one of my favorite photographers @jodarlingphotography. We ran around downtown snapping pictures, kissing and belly laughing at each other trying to be serious for photos. THEN Kyle surprised me with brunch at Catherine and Mary’s (@cathering_marys) with both our families and my bestie (who helped plan) Mary Tisdal (@mmmtisdal), Truly the best day, I still can’t get over it!
