Chandler and Edwin
How we met
It all started when I went to my friends 16th birthday party. One of my friends invited a group of guys from school and Edwin was the only guy in the group that I hadn’t met. We introduced our self to each other and went on with the night hanging out with all of our friends. We started texting and spending more time together each day. At one point I told my parents he was just a friend and that “it wasn’t like we were going to get married”… When secretly I knew he was the one I wanted to spend forever with. We both started college in different cities and eventually ended up living in different states. Through out all of the life changes we went through to eventually living in different states we never once questioned if it was going to work out we just knew it would.
how they asked
We had always talked about getting professional couple pictures taken but never actually took the time to do it. On Valentine’s Day this year he told me that he had scheduled for us to get a couples photo session. The weekend before the session he took me shopping to pick out the perfect outfit and we drove around Atlanta looking for the best place to take the pictures. The weekend of the photo session came and I still didn’t really have any idea what awaited me. We had a great time posing and laughing throughout Piedmont Park.
Once we had made our way through the park we stopped at an area that looked out over the water and the Atlanta sky line. Our photographer, Latoya Dixon Photography, asked us to turn around and face the water because she wanted to get this great shot. After the picture was taken he dropped down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him.
Immediately after I said yes I could hear our family’s cheering across the lake. We finished the photo session as a newly engaged couple with both of our families. It was the most perfect day in every way.
