How We Met

We met at Bar Louie at a mutual friend’s going away party. We hit it off right away and talked the whole night until it was time to go home. He promised to meet up with me and my best friend in DC the next night (which he did). He was so sweet and walked me to my car. He texted me that night saying he had such a good time with me and vice versa. We literally spent every single day with each other since the night we met. We couldn’t get enough of each other.

How They Asked

He took me to the Aladdin Musical at the Kennedy Center in DC (my favorite Disney princess is Jasmine). He said we were going to get dinner after so he told me to dress up. After the musical, we drove all the way to Middleburg, VA to The Goodstone Inn where we had a beautiful dinner. We drove around the large property and stopped by a fire pit that was overlooking sunset and mountains.

He handed me a poem that he had written to me and once I finished reading the poem, I look over and he is down on one knee asking me to marry him! We were both in tears and had such a beautiful moment. He then surprised me with a room there that night! We had a beautiful and romantic time. He also told me that we drove very far out for dinner because he was trying to perfectly time the sunset when he proposed (which he did!).
