One of Catherine and Tyler’s first dates was hitting golf balls, having drinks near UNC, and walking around the campus. One this date, they had their first kiss at the Old Well. Tyler wanted to recreate their third date when he proposed. He asked her sister and her mom ahead of time that he was going to propose that weekend in March, so they could be there and hired a photographer to capture the whole occasion.

Catherine said she thought Tyler was acting a little unusual and briefly thought he might propose soon, but when she mentioned it to a co-worker and co-worker didn’t think he would, she just stopped thinking about it.

Tyler convinced Catherine to go out for drinks near UNC, but when they parked near campus he said he wanted to walk through before. He popped the question at the Old Well— how sweet is that?! I love that the Old Well is so special to them and look forward to snapping some photos of them there after they said “I do!”

Catherine said she was so surprised. When they got to the Old Well, she heard the snapping of a camera and then she looked and Tyler was down on one knee with a ring! After she said yes, her family ran out to celebrate!
