How We Met
Catherine and I met in college in 2007 at Gwynedd-Mercy in Pennsylvania. She was a sophomore and I was an incoming freshman. We dated for a few months, then stopped, and then dated again. We then went on our separate ways when she was a senior and I was a junior. 2 years ago, we reconnected again by meeting up with each other at a local restaurant. Catherine was debating whether to catch up with me or not but her father had insisted he give me another chance. After we reconnected I asked her out on a date. We went to dinner and a movie. After a few dates, Catherine and I began to have feelings for each other again. In the summer of 2014 asked if she would be my girlfriend and she immediately said yes. Since then we have had the time of our lives and have fallen deeply in love with each other. We are extremely happy to be spending the rest of our lives together and we hope you enjoy the video we are sharing.
how they asked
Since we both have a passion of working with kids, I thought, what better way then to propose in a classroom. So I gathered my two brothers and Mom and headed to surprise her at her school. While in her school, Catherine was called to her principals office (to distract her) while I hid in a small classroom. Once she was called down, I headed to her classroom to prepare for the big proposal. I had her students line up outside of her classroom with roses to give her. Once they gave the roses and said “Happy Thanksgiving”, she walked into her classroom. She was in total shock when she saw me on one knee and the banner behind me asking her to marry her. Lets just say she said yes and we couldn’t be happier. Enjoy the video!!
