How We Met
Here are our proposal photos from Cel Elum Washington State, Jake’s home state. Jake and I (Catharina) met two years ago while he was stationed with the Marine Corps in North Carolina, I moved to NC from Cologne Germany and I was working at the apartment complex he was living at as a Leasing specialist, we had our first meeting at our apartments Halloween Party and his puppy moose ate his way through our marshmallows at the fire pit, obviously, that was love at first bite.
How They Asked
Fast forward two years, a house and another puppy later I flew up to Washington to meet up with Jake who was already up there to spend time with his family for his pre-deployment leave. his family rented a cabin in the mountains of Cle Elum to pre celebrate Christmas with everyone, Jake knew exactly what ring and from where I wanted it, the Mable from Olive Ave and took the opportunity with the most glorious view of the mountains of Washington for the backdrop.
the proposal was perfect and every bit of magical I imagined it would be, we took a walk down to the lake from our cabin with his family where he casually asked his dad to take a photo of us little, did I know he was about to get down on one knee and asked me to be his forever and I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since.
