Cassidy and Michael
How We Met
Michael and I met with the assistance of Bumble, the dating app. Uniquely, on just our second date Michael met my family (dad, mom, sister, and brother) at a tailgate for a Stanford Football game. I knew he would last after he met my extremely intimidating father and lived to tell the story. I fell head over heals with Michael after getting to know him, and realizing he is my perfect companion.
Throughout the ten months we dated there was no shortage of extravagant dates. Whether we were seeing the Lion King, catching the pre-Kanye meltdown concert, attending sporting events, weddings, working out, seeing Hamilton at the SHN theater in San Francisco (twice), or traveling to Cabo (to ride camels and sail by the most beautiful beaches) we always had a great time.
how they asked
Michael had planned another fun weekend, this time in Sonoma, CA. The pretense was that we were going wine tasting with one of his best friends who had been traveling overseas. Little did I know, Mike had also planned for all of our closest local friends to witness the surprise proposal. After meeting up at Cline Cellars and a few close calls both groups were accounted for and it was Go-Time! We walked over to the picnic tables where I started to notice a few of my friends, which I brushed off as a funny coincidence, until I saw friends of ours who I was sure never met! I turned around to ask Mike how they all knew each other and boom- there he was on one knee! After I screamed ‘yes’, I was informed an entire day was planned to celebrate our engagement, including lunch at HopMonk Tavern, and wine tasting at Ram’s Gate Winery.
True to form Michael had pre-arranged everything. He even printing out itineraries with a guest list… I won’t even mention the multiple maps provided for attendees outlining parking options, limo pick up and drop off, etc. It was the best day of my life, everything was truly magical and I loved every minute!
All of this was pre-arranged and documented on an itinerary with a guest list, I won’t even mention the maps he provided attendees via email.
It was truly magical and the best day of my life! Use August 5 for the video.
