How We Met
We had known each other for years, being that we are from a small town. We had run into each other at a local bar one night and the next day he commented on a picture of me and my nephew when we were watching Polar Express. Never would I have thought Polar Express would be the way we connected.
How They Asked
He had been acting weird all day but I did not expect to be engaged when I got home from work. After 10 other plans had been ruined because of COVID-19, he decided to just keep it simple and propose in our home.
He, with the help of his mom and sister, made some decorations, bought roses and rose petals, and decorated our whole living room. They even made little bandanas for our dogs. As I walked in the door after work I saw all of the decorations and in the middle of our living room, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
