How We Met
Satchel and I met in college at the University of Southern Mississippi on the dance floor at a Kevin Gates concert!
How They Asked
I thought that September 22nd was just like any other Wednesday but boy was I wrong! Satchel and I have been in love for 6 whole years now so I was definitely eagerly anticipating a proposal but we had been doing so much traveling lately I was sure he was planning to pop the question on one of our many upcoming trips. It was peak fall season in Colorado and all of the leaves were turning the bright vivid yellow that I swoon over.
My friend Madeline reached out to see if Satch and I wanted to join her and her boyfriend to drive out to Golden after work to catch some last views of the beautiful leaves and watch the sunset, she wanted a few photos in her new fall dress! Without thinking about it at all, we jumped at the opportunity to squeeze in some more leaf-peeping, I grabbed my camera and we headed out to the mountains.
While taking photos I saw the biggest grin spread across Satchel’s face as he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I have genuinely never been so SURPRISED in my entire life. SHOCKED. There is no way to describe the feelings of pure bliss and joy that filled me in those moments, I will never forget it.
