How We Met
I was starting my year as an Au Pair in a small village in Germany, with approximately 900 inhabitants. At first, it was all new to me and I didn’t know anyone. As it was in January, I decided to participate in a typical Carnival party near my home to try to make new friends. Almost at the end of the party, I was already dancing at the table and talking to several people, Christopher arrived and started talking to me in English, because I was even communicating with great difficulty in German. And so, just before I left, I ended up meeting my future husband.
How They Asked
As I am Brazilian, I come with my boyfriend at least once a year to visit my family and friends in Brazil. This year was no different. We decided to stay for two weeks, one with my parents and friends and the other one on the beach. We visited a lot of islands and paradisiacal beaches. The trip was really beautiful and breathtaking. We rented a cabin facing the sea, where we had a little piece of that paradise just for the two of us. Last night, we were tired and getting ready for bed. Christopher said he needed to get something from his backpack when I realized, he was kneeling beside me, with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen and said to me ‘You know you are the most important person in my life. Now I want to know if you agree to marry me. ‘ And I said yes.
