How We Met
Brendon knew me in high school from mutual friends, he actually had a crush on me but I had never met him. It wasn’t until we were in college that I realized his profile on my Instagram and because we shared a common interest of photography I decided to DM him because I need help on a picture I was working on.
He replied and we just kept talking from there! a couple of weeks later he asked me on a first date and officially started dating about a month later.
How They Asked
Brendon is a state trooper in Maryland and he had to work on Valentine’s day which was a Friday so he said that over the weekend we could go out and celebrate.
Come Sunday I was getting ready for what I thought was going to be a regular date when I received an envelope at my front door with instructions to meet him at the first clue. The scavenger hunt took me to Georgetown waterfront, the Kennedy center, Fogo do Chao steakhouse, the botanical gardens, and lastly to the national gallery of art museum where clues were given to me by a close friend at each location.
When I arrived to the last one, the national gallery of art museum I found Brendon with our families waiting for me. Brendon chose this place because this was where he asked me to be his girlfriend two years ago.
He got down on one knee and of course, I said YES!
