Carol and Jason

At 10:30A there was a knock at my door.  I was expecting Jason to pick me up at 10:45 for brunch. I opened the door to see a vase of beautiful flowers and a note.  The note was full of emotion and explained that I needed “to not ask any questions and just smile. Your chariot awaits downstairs.”

I get downstairs to see his brother and best friend in their car, so when I get in, they hand me another letter.  The letter was filled with raw emotion and again told me I couldn’t ask where I was being taken or anything.  We pull up to Vance Park, which overlooks the Mighty Mississippi River and I’m handed another note just before I get out car.  The note instructed me to go to a certain bench by this art installation and pick up the last note.  The note also explains that he chose that spot because it overlooks the big M bridge which is his favorite view in the city.  As I’m reading the amazing and love filled note, tears are streaming down my cheeks and I look up and see Jason.  We walk towards each other, on this amazing fall day with not a cloud in the sky, and he gets down on one knee and asks me to spend the rest of my life with him as his wife.
