How we met: Eric and I met at work 4 years ago. When I started, my boss had told me she had the perfect guy for me who also worked at the restaurant as a cook. I was hired as a hostess and I worked there for 6 months without saying a word to him. One night at our bosses 4th of July party in 2011 we were supposed to talk and hang out but we had missed each other. I texted him and told him to come but he never responded. The next day he texted me back saying “who is this” and we have been talking every day since.
how they asked: For Christmas this year, Eric got us a trip to Paris. I was beyond excited, I had never traveled outside of the U.S. before. We were set to go over Valentines day weekend. Everyone had said we were going to get engaged but Eric convinced me that we were not and there were so many better places to do it. (Seriously, like where?!) So I talked myself out of it not happening so I wouldn’t be disappointed. On Valentine’s day, we had plans to go to dinner on a boat on the Seine River. On our way to dinner Eric wanted to stop on a bridge and take a “selfie” with the Eiffel tower in the background. After that attempted picture, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was truly in shock because I had told myself it wasn’t going to happen. He had a photographer to capture the moment and he also did a shoot of us around Paris afterwards! It was a perfect fairytale with the Eiffel Tower as our backdrop. I could not be happier.
