How We Met
I met John Caleb a week before the world shut down for Covid in March of 2020. I was out for a friends 21st birthday and he was on a bachelor trip to Nashville. Randomly, we both ended up on top of Nudies Rooftop Bar and bumped into each other. After 2 hours of conversation, the bar was beginning to close and we exchanged numbers. A couple months later after talking on the phone during the pandemic, he took me on our first dinner date.
How They Asked
For Labor Day weekend we planned a trip with some close couples friends of ours to Perdido Key, Florida. One of the girls was celebrating her 25th birthday, and someone suggested we take “beach photos” before dinner for her birthday. That’s when he did it! But the biggest surprise of all was that my parents, his family, and several of my best friends flew down to surprise me and came running down the beach! I was so shocked and ugly cried! At the end, a rainbow popped out. (pictured in the last photos) It truly was the most picture perfect day.
