We were vacationing in New York City for a few days and had done all the sight seeing possible so far: Central Park, the Empire State Building, Top of the Roc, etc. It was our last day there and Darius had been acting strange all day. So we were on the Staten Island Ferry and Darius was sweating up a storm. As we were passing the Statue of Liberty when Darius said, “its time.” He got down on one knee and said, “Camille Astacia Cherry will you spend the rest of your life with me?” I said, “Yes of course.” Everyone around us started clapping and cheering and switched their focus and their cameras from Ms. Liberty to us. July 19th, 2015 was hands down the best day of my life!
