How We Met
We met on the Greenway (2100 acre nature preserve) where I work in Fort Mill, SC. I moved here two years ago from Minnesota and found the Greenway when I was looking for a place to board my horse, Star (whom I’ve had since I was 9, now 26). I immediately fell in love with all that that the Greenway had to offer so I applied and quickly accepted a job. A year later I met Chris and knew right away that he was everything I had been looking for. We are both so passionate about the outdoors, adventure, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and each other.

Fort Mill was expecting snow, so we decided to head out after breakfast to the Greenway to see my horse! It was more of a sleet/snow mix but that didn’t stop the fun. We walked across the pasture to greet my horse, I hopped on, and the next thing I knew Chris was asking if I would marry him. There was no hesitation in my response – YES! Of course I’ll spend the rest of my life with my best friend and adventure companion.
We met our friends for champagne at our house afterwards! It all felt and still feels like a dream. Let the planning begin!
