How We Met
We met in the summer of 2016 as I was graduating high school. We lived two streets away from each other and never crossed paths in high school. Unexpectedly, Richard showed up to a house party I was having with my sister and the rest is history! I went away to college and Richard started working for a power lines company. Last year, we bought our first home together and it was one of the best decisions we made as a couple. After five years of dating and a lot of growing up together, we’re engaged!
How They Asked
On a very cold Monday morning in September, we hiked to the top of Canyon Overlook in Zion National Park at 6 a.m. to catch the sunrise fall over the canyon tops. We were supposed to take photos, so he asked me to dress up nicely. After we hiked to the top, Richard popped the question at sunrise. It was a surreal moment that I will cherish forever. All the hikers clapped for us as I cried happy tears. We have so many adventures and memories to make ahead. Truly the best day of my life.
