How We Met
Tannor and I met in 2014 at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. We started dating on June 3, 2014, and have been inseparable ever since. Fast forward 4+ years and we now live in Lincoln where I attend Dental School and Tannor works for Midwest Coop as an agronomist.

After my first year of dental school, we decided to go on a vacation. Tannor wanted to go to Colorado but I insisted on Disney World, so we compromised and went to Disney World. Little did I know it was going to be the most magical time of my life. Tannor had one condition to going to Disney: we had to drive to Orlando, Florida. So I agreed and we set off on our 21-hour one-way drive to Disney World! The first couple of days at Disney were amazing and then day 3 rolled around and I was probably more excited than all of the children in the park because we had reservations at 11:30 pm to eat supper inside Cinderella’s castle (I love Disney Princesses and Cinderella is my absolute favorite, in fact, our dog Ella is named after her so I was over the moon to meet her and eat inside her castle.) We had just gotten off of Splash Mountain and we were soaking wet, but we had to hurry back to the hotel to change clothes so we could make it back to the Magic Kingdom in time for the firework show.
It was pouring rain the entire duration of the firework show, but it was still amazing! Once the rain stopped and the show was over, Tannor suggested we ask someone to take our picture in front of Cinderella’s castle as it was all lit up and looked breathtaking. So we asked a random lady to take our picture and for some reason, Tannor kept saying, “No, take another picture, take another picture.”
So after the lady had probably taken about 6 photos, I went to get my phone from her and thank her for taking our photo, but Tannor grabbed my hand and when I turned around he was down on one knee! I couldn’t believe he was actually proposing so I said, “OMG, what are you doing?! Are you serious?!” Then Tannor pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him and be his wife and of course I said yes! It was the most perfect and magical proposal at the Happiest Place on Earth and right in front of Cinderella’s castle!
