How We Met
I’ve known Aaron since we were 13. On the first day of high school, I saw him in the parking lot and was absolutely enamored. I thought I would never see him because our high school was pretty big, but he ended up sitting right next to me in our homeroom class. He was the cutest boy I have ever seen! Over the years of us being friends (and me having the most massive crush on him), he finally asked me to be his girlfriend when we were 16!
How They Asked
Fast forward almost seven years and we’re taking a trip to New Orleans to celebrate his birthday. We’re taking a walk in City Park and looking at all of the amazing sculptures. I really wanted to get to see this beautiful bridge, but we had passed these benches where people dedicate their love to each other. We stopped by one that said “Tom and Heidi Epps, 1988 – Eternity” and Aaron stops in his tracks. I’m trying to see the bridge at sunset, so I’m starting to walk away. He grabs my hand to slow me down and I turn around and he’s on one knee! He said how eternity sounded great with me and how he looks forward to our forever. It was the best day of my life.
