How We Met
I was introduced to Jaime by a friend at a family gathering for Easter at his grandmother’s house. Only a few words were exchanged between the two of us throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Jaime was starting a new rotation for PA school the following day so he had to leave the family gathering early. He went around the room and said his goodbyes with hugs. I was in the right place at the right time and received a hug goodbye as well. At that moment, right there in the kitchen, stars aligned, sparks flew and our souls connected.

Before we started dating he told me he enjoyed writing poems. A week before he proposed I chirped him so hard because it’s been over 2 years and I haven’t seen one poem from him. Last year he wanted to take nice photos to use for a Christmas card, I told him no. On July 7th he said he wanted me to wear a specific dress with his favorite shoes because we are sending out Christmas cards this year, I put up a fight but finally agreed. We found our perfect spot on the path and took a nice photo to use as a Christmas card.
Then he pulled out a piece of paper and tells me he wrote me a poem. When I got to the end of the poem, I looked up from the heart-shaped paper and there he was, down on one knee…. You can find me on cloud 9 for the rest of my life!
