My fiancé and I went to the same high school, 2 grades apart. Our paths however, didn’t cross until years later. Our relationship consisted of being miles apart but we made the most of every moment together. Those miles quickly tripled when my fiancé was moved to Oregon. We quickly realized what the saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder” truly meant. We saw each other every 3 months if we were lucky. I traveled over 2,680 miles to visit him, not knowing what he had in store. It was August 6, 2016 in beautiful Bend Oregon. We took a short drive and hike to Tumalo falls. While gazing up at the falls from below I had no idea my boyfriend at the time was down on one knee with my dream ring behind me. It was the easiest “yes”, so far, I have ever made. After another 7 months apart I made the big move from our home state of Pennsylvania to Oregon where my fiancé and I now live happily. We will tie the knot May 19, 2018 in Pennsylvania with our closest friends and family.
