How We Met
Caleb and I met in December of 2018. I called him “The Dad” because he has two twin kiddos. Oddly enough I was on a date three days prior and learned about this new dating app called Hinge. I decided to give it a go since I exhausted all efforts on other apps. Caleb was the first person I matched with and two days later we met up for dinner on a chilly winter night and couldn’t believe how smitten we were from the start. The next day we both got off Hinge. One moment I know the two of us will never forget is how it felt like we had already known each other and how we both couldn’t contain our smiles for even a second. We had found our person.
How They Asked
My thirtieth birthday was at the end of February. Caleb and I had a plan to go to Charleston for the weekend to celebrate. We even had a photoshoot tour scheduled while walking the charming Lowcountry streets. Surely this was when it was going to happen! However, coronavirus had other plans… Caleb had full intentions of proposing in Charleston, but because of the pandemic my ring hadn’t arrived on time… once we got back home, Caleb searched daily for a perfect time to get down on one knee.
Luckily, the wait wouldn’t be long. On March 14th, he took me to Leu Gardens to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and popped the question under some giant live southern oaks. To my suprise my ring was not only my perfect dream but he had a photographer taking pictures the entire time! After, we immediately Facetimed our parents and then celebrated with coffee at a nearby coffeehouse.
