How We Met: Adam and I first met in 2008 in High School when he was a senior and I was a sophomore. We were put into a group project together but that was as far as our communication went. A few years later I went to go and hang out with a couple of my friends and Adam was there! It so happened that he was best friends with a good friend of mine. I guess when I showed up Adam was asking if I was seeing anyone, which unfortunately I was.
Adam and I became close and he was constantly there for me when I needed someone. I always wondered why he was dating anyone because he was by far the sweetest guy out there! After my then boyfriend and I ended things, I found out Adam didn’t date anyone because he was waiting for me! We started dating August 25th, 2012. We couldn’t have been happier! We moved in together in 2013. Moved into our first house in 2014 and bought 2 adorable puppies!
how they asked: In 2015 when my birthday came around, we decided to go out of town the weekend before my birthday. We took a trip to Chicago! It was fantastic. We came home late Saturday night and the next day Adam said he was going to get my birthday present. I couldn’t believe he was getting me another present seeing how he already treated me to everything I wanted to do in Chicago.
While he was gone, my mom and I decided to go shopping before we went to dinner with friends later that night. We got back home and walked in and saw the roses and tee lit candles lining the counter and on the table in our kitchen.
They were directing me into the living room. I walk into he living room and see a couple of our good friends along with my dad.
I look and see Adam standing with our puppy Meelo. Meelo had a ribbon around his neck with a little box wrapped in the ribbon. At first I was confused, I didn’t really comprehend what was going on, that was until I looked at my dad and he had started crying.
That’s when it hit me what was happening! Adam made his wonderful speech and I could tell he was nervous which made him even more adorable! He took my hand, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We are getting married May 21st, 2016!!!
