How We Met
We met on Nate’s last day as a student at Providence College. When Nate knocked on the door of the crowded suite where my friends and I were celebrating the end of the semester, he had no idea the girl who answered would one day become his wife. We hit it off right away but as a young college student, I still had exams and papers to write while he was ready to celebrate his graduation. Nate pursued me tirelessly the week following our meeting, and it took some convincing, but finally, I agreed to a date. We went out for what was supposed to be a quick lunch for our first date. Two and a half hours later, I knew he was something special. The rest is history.
How They Asked
On Sunday, January 17th we took a trip to Mystic Seaport to walk around and enjoy the unusually seasonable January day. After enjoying a beautiful, albeit quite windy, lunch downtown, Nate suggested we take a trip to Rocky Neck State Park to walk on the beach. As we walked along the shore, Nate stopped, held my hands, and began to reminisce on our relationship. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Through a stream of tears (of joy) I said yes!
