How We Met
I met Dakota my sophomore year in high school – we were both 15 and totally naive. He saw a picture of me on one of my friend’s binders at school and that’s when it all began. From late night texting to several high school dances together, we were together all the time. He not only was my boyfriend he was also my best friend. People used to say I was crazy if I thought I would end up with my high school sweetheart but I always told them I knew he was the one.
We have been together for 6 years now and now I do get to marry my high school sweetheart!

Dakota and my sister planned out the perfect proposal. She is the best sister ever and shared her special day (her wedding day) with me!
During the bouquet toss as I’m in the front literally pushing the other girls out of the way, my sister turns around, walks straight towards me and hands me the bouquet. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to catch it fair and square, but then she told me to turn around. I was very confused, but I turned around, I saw the man of my dreams on one knee asking to marry me!!
I jumped back because I was so shocked. I looked at my sister and asked her 1) if this is real and 2) if she’s okay with it – she said yes to both! Still in shock just standing there, she helps me through the process and even has to tell me to say yes!
Of course I did! It was a moment I will never forget. Not only do I get to marry my love but I have the best sister in the world who chose to share her wedding day with me and Dakota.
