How We Met
7 years ago, me and Anatoliy started out as high school sweethearts. It didn’t take me long to realize that he would be the person I would spend forever with. The years to come after that were filled with many highs as well as many lows. Anatoliy always loved me unconditionally, no matter what we faced. And he accepted me for who I was, through and through. I had never met a kinder, more caring person, who always puts others before himself.
He would much rather see the people he loves happy than be happy himself, and I have always admired him for that. We have shared so many amazing adventures and moments together, and I wouldn’t change anything about these last 7 years. He has always taken care of me and pushed me to be my best self. Even when I don’t believe in myself, he always does. He makes me a stronger person every day and helps me to see the light in the world.
How They Asked
I had told Anatoliy I wanted to take Christmas pictures this year, and I had found and contacted the photographer who I wanted to do them. I knew exactly what I wanted, and where. These magical lights at the Biltmore estate always make me so happy, every time I see them I feel like I’m in a fairy tale, and the photographer agreed that this was the best place to take them. Little did I know, Anatoliy had contacted the photographer and told her that he was going to propose during the photo shoot! He wanted a videographer there too but didn’t want me getting suspicious, so the photographer told me that he was coming to film a promo video for her website.
I model, so I didn’t think much of this when she told me. Little did I know, they all had a perfect plan to surprise me. She asked to take a few pictures of me, and Anatoliy stepped away. They had a plan for when she said “the lighting is perfect”, that was his cue to ask me. He came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder and got down on one knee. I had waited for this moment for so long that I fell to my knees with him and cried. I have never been happier in my life! They couldn’t have pulled it off any better.
