how they asked: It all started the weekend before the actual proposal when we had agreed that we were going to have a competition and see who could plan the cutest date. Jeff’s day arrived and he told me he would be up to give me instructions around 3 in the afternoon. That time had come and he handed me an envelope and told me I couldn’t read it until he left.
Jeff had planned for me to go on a scavenger hunt and all of my clues were with my closest friends on campus. Each hint told me where to find the person for the next clue. In each letter that contained my next clue he started to tell me how much he loved me. The second to last hint led me to a park where we often took walks at. I arrived and walked this long path to meet him and my final letter was tied to a tree across this tiny bridge.
I read the letter and turned around and Jeff was down on one knee and asked me to spend my life with him.
I was crying so hard that I couldn’t talk so I just stuck out my hand and that was my yes.
He then told me we needed to hurry because he made dinner arrangements with my parents in Pittsburgh. It was the best day of my life so far and I can not wait to marry my absolute best friend.
