How We Met (his side): Natasha and I met one night after working all day at Mars Hill Church. We had all gotten into the habit of heading to a friend’s house to cook and hang out after Sundays, and so she and I had a few drinks together there. We talked about our art and I asked if she would want to collaborate on some pieces for an upcoming art show (sneaky.) Soon after, we went to get a drink to talk about the project, but instead just played pool and hung out all night. We’ve been together ever since.
how they asked (his side): We have a group of friends that meet weekly, and Natasha and I previously decided to visit the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta as our group activity that week. I “invited more community groups and close friends for memories sake,” to “join us for the balloons,” so that Natasha would be able to be involved in the plans and not suspect anything. I emailed everyone separately and told them what was really going on (the proposal). 5:30 on a Friday Morning rolled around and about 30 of our friends met us at a coffee shop and we caravanned to the peak of the Sandia Mountains.
After being pelted with hail, rain and lightning bolts, the weather began to clear up, (bright enough for photos,) told Natasha that we all tricked her, and got down on one knee.
