How We Met
Garrett and I met at The University of Toledo football tailgate. Garrett’s brother and I are both graduate students in similar programs who were hosting a social event at the tailgate. According to Garrett, I couldn’t keep my eyes off him and finally Garrett walked over and introduced himself with vodka and Mio in hand. It was love at first sight. Three days later we had our first date and have been inseparable since.

It was a random Tuesday night when our dinner plans with friends fell through. Garrett suggested we still go try out a new restaurant in downtown Toledo, Oh. It was January 2nd, 2018 and record breaking cold in Ohio. After dinner while walking back to the car, Garrett asked me to go see the big Christmas tree that was lit up a few hundred feet down the street. He asked me to pull out my phone to take a picture. While I was doing that he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. I SAID YES.
